Special News alert: Full pedal ahead for the new Velodrome in Hong Kong (Exclusive)

Alert! Good news for Hong Kong cycling Team and you!
(Hong Kong) The first indoor Velodrome in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong (香港,將軍澳) will be in phases to track cycling and ball game enthusiasts from early 2014.

 Construction of 6.6-hectare HK$600 million (evulated about US$75 million) Velodrome is excpted to be completed in early of December, 2013. It will be the first indoor cycling venue in Hong Kong.
Firstly, the 250-meter wooden cycling track will meet international competition standards and International Cycling Union's (UCI) official race standard. That's suitable for Hong Kong Cycling Team in practicing. The facility was planned together with a new park next to the Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong.
Hong Kong cycling Team chief coach Shen Jin-kang (沈金康) said the Velodrome will be used as the team 's main practicing place, including by competitors for the Rio 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janerio, Brazil.

The team is assisting in testing the cycling track and suggesting adjustments. Above the cycling track are 2,000 permanent and 1,000 portable seats. On the ground floor there will be a doping control room and facilities for athletes and bicycles.
A multipurpose area in the center of the velodrome can be used for basketball, badminton, volleyball and other physical activities and training.
