Was there any doubt in your mind as to who would be selected as the greatest player in NBA history?
To try to fit all of Michael Jordan’s accomplishments into this tiny space would be doing his career an injustice.
But I am going to give it a shot anyway…

- Won 6 NBA Championships (including 2 three-peats) with the Chicago Bulls (1991-93, 1996-98)
) with the Chicago Bulls (1991-93, 1996-98)
- Was a 5-time NBA MVP (1988, 1991-92, 1996, 1998)
- Made the NBA All-Star team 14 times
- Won the NBA Finals MVP 6 times
- Won the NBA Scoring title 10 times (1987-1993, 1996-98)

“Takes a deep breath”…….

- Was the 1988 Defensive Player of the Year
- Made the All-NBA Team 10 times
- Made the All-NBA Defensive team 9 times
- Was the 1985 Rookie of the Year

Unfortunately, 1993 was a tough year for Jordan. His father was killed and he decided to retire from basketball. Then, in 1994, he shocked the world as he signed for the minor baseball league team Chicago White Socks. The number 23 was retired by the Bulls in his honor. However, Jordan returned to basketball in 1995 and took number 45. It was a great comeback and Bulls won the NBA Finals and Jordan won his fourth Finals MVP. By the end of his career he won 6 MVP Finals and set the record.
His second retirement was in 1999 but in 2001 he returned again, playing for the Wizards. His final NBA game happened on April 16, 2003.
